Hello, I am Ana
I work as a project manager, I am a parent, and I live abroad as an expat in Lisbon, Portugal.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Began
Moving to Portugal wasn’t in the plan for the long run. Like many expatriate relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.
The initial few months were demanding — fresh processes, new routines, higher expectations. Daily chores seemed more complex than expected.
The Adaptation Phase
Culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of on-the-job learning happened. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found spots that fit us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Created Mild Grove Pulse
Most online resources were either corporate relocation guidance or superficial tourism content. What was missing was a truthful, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Portugal.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Hands-on insight from living in Portugal
- Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site ISN'T:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Portugal goes on, and so does our learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue sharing what we uncover.
If you have questions about family life in Lisbon or anywhere in Portugal, feel free to reach out.
Cheers,
Ana
